ERIE, Pa. (Jan. 16) — How can you create a deeper connection with others, build better working alliances, interview candidates more effectively and enhance communication between management and employees?
The Advertising Federation of Northwest Pennsylvania (AFNWPA) is hosting national face reading expert and author Mac Fulfer, and his workshop “Amazing Face Reading: A Breakthrough in Communication" from 4:30 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Erie Art Museum, 411 State St.
During the workshop, Mr. Fulfer will teach participants a new way to see people without labeling or judging them using face reading as a means of better understanding a person's strengths and weaknesses. He will also show attendees how to immediately read anger, stress, deception, confusion and wariness on another person’s face. Fulfer guarantees that by the end of the session, participants will never look at another person the same way again.
"Amazing face reading is a tool that can create win-win situations by knowing instantly when there has been a communication breakdown," said Rebecca Styn, president of the AFNWPA. "Mac's exciting presentation is based on proven scientific research about how one’s thoughts and emotions literally shape one’s facial features, providing key information about every individual."
Understanding different personalities, character traits and individual perspectives is often a challenge in hiring, managing, motivating and communicating with others. The workshop is designed to help every participant have more effective interactions with every person they meet.
"This is a must for anyone who deals with people," Ms. Styn added.
Mr. Fulfer has practiced law in Fort Worth, Texas for nearly 22 years, since earning his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas in 1975. He is the author of “Amazing Face Reading” and publisher of an article in the Journal for Organizational Excellence titled "Nonverbal Communication: How to Read What’s Plain As The Nose...or Eyelid...or Chin...On Their Faces."
Registration for the AFNWPA “Amazing Face Reading” workshop is now open. Interested individuals may register online at afnwpa.org or call (814) 451-8677. The cost is $20 for AFNWPA members; $30 for non-members. A reception featuring cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will follow the presentation.
